How To Use eBenefits - Veterans Guardian

Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to use your eBenefits account




Step 1: Register (if you haven’t already)

WARNING – The VA has not updated their eBenefits tutorial in over 4 years, some things may look different, but the concept is the same. Thanks for understanding.


Step 2: Log In

On the top right hand side of eBenefits, click “Log In”.

You will then be prompted by a screen “eBenefits Consent to Monitor” with a very small checkbox. Please check this box, then type your information in the DS Logon.


Step 3: Go To The Dashboard

Now, you should see a “Dashboard” button on the top right. Click “Dashboard” and select your name.


Step 4: View Your Disabilities

Now that you have navigated to the Dashboard, select “Disabilities” on the left hand column.


Step 5: Screenshot All of your disabilities

If you are working with Veterans Guardian regarding your claim, you will need to screenshot your disabilities. Below are instructions.

FOR PC/WINDOWS:
Click the “Start” menu, type “Snipping tool” and click “New”. Then, drag your cursor over ALL of your disabilities, make your screenshot look as much like the image above as possible, Then click the floppy disk icon to save your capture. If you cannot capture all of your disabilities with one screenshot, you can repeat the step to capture the rest.

FOR MAC:
Hold down Command, Shift, and 4. You will see crosshairs as your pointer, Then, drag your pointer over ALL of your disabilities, make your screenshot look as much like the image above as possible. If you cannot capture all of your disabilities with one screenshot, you can repeat the step to capture the rest. Your screenshot will appear on your dashboard

FOR IPHONE
Hold down the Power button and the home button at the same time, If you cannot capture all of your disabilities with one screenshot, you can repeat the step to capture the rest.

FOR ANDROID
This may vary depending on your phone age, but most up to date and later androids will screenshot if you hold the Power button and the Volume Down button, If you cannot capture all of your disabilities with one screenshot, you can repeat the step to capture the rest.
