Federal law (38 U.S.C. 5901) currently states that “no individual may act as an agent or attorney in the preparation, presentation, or prosecution of any claim” unless recognized by the VA for that purpose.  At Veterans Guardian, we will never become your agent nor ask you to sign a power of attorney. If you have engaged a private non-accredited company for assistance who asked you to sign a power of attorney or asked to become your agent of record, we encourage you to contact the US Department of Veterans Affairs (https://www.va.gov/ogc/accreditation.asp) and report this behavior.

There are completely free services available to veterans to support the filing of claims for VA benefits and for the services that Veterans Guardian will provide pursuant to this agreement. Veterans always have the option to utilize the free services provided by entities such as National Service Organizations (e.g. VFW, DAV), Local Service Organizations, State Sponsored Veteran Service Officers, and/or the paid services of VA accredited agents or lawyers and congressional offices. Utilization of Veterans Guardian consulting services is not required to submit a claim for VA benefits and the client can achieve a positive VA benefit claim outcome with these other organizations.

Nevada Residents: No compensation may be received by any person advising or assisting another person with a matter relating to veterans’ benefits except as authorized under Title 38 of the United States Code. Veterans’ benefit services are offered at no cost by federally chartered veteran service organizations and accredited veteran service officers.

Furthermore, Veterans may utilize Veterans Guardian consulting services in coordination with these other free or paid services. Veterans Guardian only works with clients that understand these other options are available and have elected to retain Veterans Guardian consulting services with that full knowledge.
